FELIPE PACHECO

Artistic Director

Felipe is a Brazilian-British actor and movement artist who grew up on the Wirral and is now based in London. His higher education started in the USA, where he studied dance and theatre at Columbia College Chicago (2015). On his return to the UK, he completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance at the University of Surrey (2019).


First training with their Ignition programme, Felipe is now a practitioner for Frantic Assembly, inspiring and engaging performing arts students worldwide. As part of his educational practice he is also a practitioner for ATG, has taught young refugees, asylum seekers and ESOL students for Attic Theatre, and was a member of New AdventuresOverture cohort 2020/21.


As a movement director Felipe has worked on productions for Off The Ground Theatre's international tour and the New Wimbledon Theatre (2024), and Andy Fickman at The Turbine Theatre (2023).

For Buried Thunder, he directed Cosima & Damien, and co-directed/performed in Bead Upon Golden Bead, Our Shore, Growth and Essence.

Other recent movement credits include Frantic's Metamorphosis (2024), Othello (2023) and music videos for Gecko x The Chemical Brothers (2022) and Emeli Sandé (2021).


He loves football, coffee and the beach, and is always scheming in regard to Buried Thunder’s future artistic and educational output.
